Oil sampling tests results tell a story. When you sample test your oil over a period of six months to a year, you will have a track record of what is happening inside your engine. Two engines exactly alike will show different test results, depending on the use of these engines. High speed running will show a different oil condition than an engine that idles a lot. Heat fuel mixture, grade weight, viscosity etc. all affect the performance of your oil on your engine. Oil sample testing at periodic intervals can help you adjust your engine for maximum performance. The "Premo Plus" electric oil filtration system keeps your oil within laboratory approved specifications, which results in a savings to you. You do not have to change your oil at contaminated intervals. You save on oil cost, disposal costs, filter costs and labor cost. You save the environment. You extend the engine life. You are driving on clean oil 24 hours 7 days a week.

You may use any laboratory of you choice for this testing. Heltech, Inc. uses ANA Laboratories, Inc., 641 Creek Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08099 - 1-800-648-2625.

We will describe a sample report from ANA Laboratories listed below. Ana supplies you with a detailed report that codes the numbers so you can evaluate the condition of your oil. Attached is a brief explanation of how to read the report. You may call the laboratory at the above number if you have any questions. They will be happy to give you a more detailed explanation.
A - Date of Test

B - Hours or miles on engine

C - Hours or miles on oil

D - Oil added

E - Severity code
1 - The severity code rates the overall conditions of your oil. Ratings range from 1 to 6.

2 - Wear Metals. These numbers are parts per million and the tolerances. Certain conditions of the oil will affect the wear of the engine. Normal wear will only occur if these tolerances are kept in the laboratory-approved range.

3 - Coolant. High conditions could result from gasket leaks or additives.

4 - Dirt. Spin on filter traps dirt and wear metal particulates down to 3 microns.

5 - Water. Very important to control or eliminate, as water mixed will sulfur in the oil/carbon/as in combustion from sulfuric acid that pits the bearings, lifters etc. and causes premature engine wear.

6 - Sludge. Unspent hydrocarbons cause solids (carbon soot) or sludge. Our super filtration system "Premo" will control this contamination within laboratory approved specifications. End result a clean burning engine.

7 - Lubricity.

8 - Fuel. Fuel dilution in crankcase. Oil dilution will affect engine wear considerably. The dilution affects the viscosity and the lubricity of the oil. Increased wear on the bearings, valves, lifters, rings and liners will occur. "Premo" evaporates this dilution. The viscosity and lubricity in the oil is maintained at it's original state.

9 - Grade WT. All diesel oil is rated 15/40 with all being on the higher side - 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 etc. depending on the brand. Grade WT is affected by fuel and water dilution. "Premo" evaporates this dilution, protects your grade WT/viscosity and keeps the oil lubricity condition within it's intended state.

10 - TBN. "Total Base Number" is a rating of oil additives. Rating from 1 to 10 is a number rating not a percentage - 10 being the best. TBN varies from brand to brand. Additives are used and replaced by adding oil so this number varies from on report to another.

Install "Premo Plus" electric oil filtration system, and monitor your engines performance thru oil tests analysis. You will have peace of mind that you are doing everything possible, protecting your investment at a small cost...
